[twocol_one]J. W. Plant & Co Ltd are proud to be nominated as the preferred flag supplier for the Fly the Red Ensign for the Merchant Navy Day project. We have been the preferred supplier to the project from its conception and played a key role in establishing the official flag specification to be used for the project.
The key factors in deciding the flag specification were, value for money, quality, durability, visual impact. Above all the finished item had to reflect the look and feel of the project, and help capture the enthusiasm of those taking part.
JW Plant have a range of items available for the 2016 Fly the Red Ensign for the Merchant Navy Day. We are offering three standard sizes of flags which will be bulk produced. These flags will be fully dye printed with water dispersed high energy automative grade dyes, onto a 155gsm woven
polyester bunting. They are environmentally friendly, washable and designed for reuse.
[/twocol_one][twocol_one_last]The sizes will be 108″ x 54″, 90″ x 45″ and 72″ x 36″. Any other sizes required are available and will be manufactured using a combination of screen printed or seto your requirements all in woven polyester.
We would suggest the following size guidelines
- 108″ x 54″ flags to be flown from freestanding flagpoles greater then 10m (30ft), wall mounted and roof mounted flagpoles of at least 4m at a height of at least 10m (30ft)
- 90” x 45” flags to be flown from freestanding flagpoles 8m (25ft), wall mounted and roof mounted flagpoles of at least 3m at a height of at least 10m (30ft)
- 72” x 36” flags to be flown from freestanding flagpoles around 5-6m (15-20ft), wall mounted and roof mounted flagpoles of at least 2-3m at a height of at least 4-6m (20-25ft).
When making your final choice you should consider the flag proportion to that of any building or surrounding. Creating balance should be the primary objective.[/twocol_one_last]
